Tymal Mills Swaps the Cricket Ground for the Cricket Cage

English born fast-bowler and co-founder of Pace Journal, Tymal Mills recently took part in a revolutionary format of cricket, hailed, the Ultimate Kricket Challenge (UKC).

The UKC is a tournament where professional cricketers from around the world go one-on-one against each other in a small enclosed arena. With new formats of the game being introduced regularly, the UKC stands out since it is the first cricket tournament that doesn’t involve 11 players in a team.

Mills expressed that he was indeed intrigued about how the concept of the UKC would initially fare. But after flying out to Dubai and getting the hang of the game, he is super excited to see how it looks on the screen.

It was a completely different experience for the English speedster to play cricket indoors. Mills further added that the excitement between the players was high and the game didn’t lack any intensity whatsoever. However, players did take their sweet time to understand the format and its rules, but it all went fine at the end of the day.

Mills also noted that when fans are allowed in the arena for future editions of the UKC, it will unlock a whole new level of engagement between spectators and players.

Pace Journal founder, Shahbaz Choudhry was equally as excited about Tymal's involvement. "As a company, we are proud to see Tymal jet setting around the globe and being involved in some of the biggest tournaments in the world. It comes as no surprise, though, he is a short-format specialist and an asset to any team. We all look forward to seeing how he gets on".
